15tokyo_nights. Gackt <3s the rain.
The sweet smell of the rain pouring down on the fine and fully crowded street of Tokyo
Regardless of time, may it be night or day. Regardless of weather, may it shine or let it snow heavily; the metropolis will always be running. Taxi cabs and private vehicles alike, moving around the city taking turns and twisting here and there around tall buildings that kissed the now blackened skies. People hopping from one place to another, carrying bags of whatever to nowhere and everywhere. A small shout to someone else.
And somewhere in the middle of all the noise, there stood Gackt.
The eccentric blond with money and power, a man whom no one can predict.
As if no different from a spring’s day, he walks in the middle of the curtained showers. He was not holding on to an umbrella because he didn’t think it was going to rain the moment he steps outside of his condo. He felt the drench of the heaven’s down pour on his skin, soaking him wet, his clothes dripping wet for having nothing to protect him. Not even a jacket to at least help lessen his wetness.
But then, he never really needed those things. He doesn’t need any sort of protection from what he loved t he most. And because he was weird, he was eccentric and he was strange; he walked forward under the drizzle with the silliest smiles on his face. He doesn’t know where he’s going; all he knows is that his feet just moved on their own.
Under the drizzle, the downpour and all the names associated with the rain, he felt safe. Sometimes, it was under the rain that he felt like an immortal, not up on stage with the fans begging him to sing for them. It was here, that he like a god, under the cloudless sky with the pouring rain.
He doesn’t understand it, but the rain empowers him. The rain gives him strength enough to walk with his head up high with pride all across his face.
Underneath the dark night where the stars should be hanging up in the skies like some sort of design. This is where he wants to be.
Under the rain, no one can taint him.
Under the rain, he feels free.
